Tapestry from the "Amadis" series

The two following rooms once served as the margravine's Audience Room and official State Bedroom. Today the walls are hung with the four tapestries from the "Amadis" series that was produced in around 1700 in Amsterdam. These show scenes from an opera by Philippe Quinault (1635-98) based on the medieval chivalric novel "Amadis und Oriane".
