How to get there by public transport

Take the train to Bayreuth central station.

New Palace (Ludwigstr. 21, 95444 Bayreuth): Bus 314 to "Sternplatz"

Margravial Opera House (Opernstr. 14, 95444 Bayreuth):
Bus 302 to "Luitpoldplatz" (or a 10-minute walk)

Hermitage (Eremitage Nr. 1, 95448 Bayreuth): Bus 302 to "Eremitage"

How to get there by car / bus

Bayreuth can be reached on the A 9 from Munich to Berlin and the A 70 from Bayreuth to Schweinfurt, as well as on roads B 2, B 22 and B 85.

The New Palace and the Margravial Opera House are in the town centre, while the Hermitage is on the eastern edge of the town and Fantaisie Palace a few kilometres west of Bayreuth in the village of Donndorf. The Sanspareil Rock Garden, situated around 40 km west of Bayreuth near the village of Wonsees, can be reached on the B 22 or the A 70 (Schirradorf exit).

Parking
New Palace and Court Garden:
Chargeable car and bus parking places (P6 Stadthalle)

Margravial Opera House:
Chargeable underground parking (P7 behind the opera house)

Hermitage and Court Garden:
Car and bus parking places are available at the entrance to the park.
