How to get there by car / bus

Bayreuth can be reached on the A 9 motorway from Munich to Berlin and the A 70 motorway from Bayreuth to Schweinfurt, as well as on roads B 2, B 22 and B 85.

The New Palace and the Margravial Opera House: World Heritage & Museum are in the town centre, while the Hermitage is on the eastern edge of the town. Fantaisie Palace is situated a few kilometres west of Bayreuth in the village of Donndorf. The Sanspareil Rock Garden, located around 40 km west of Bayreuth near the village of Wonsees, can be reached on the road B 22 or the A 70 motorway (Schirradorf exit).

 

 

Parking

An overview of the parking facilities in the centre of Bayreuth can be found at www.bayreuth.de. Municipal parking spaces for the disabled are available e.g. at Wölfelstraße or Münzgasse.

Hermitage and Sanspareil: Car and bus parking places are available at the park entrances.
